HISTORY
HISTORY & TRACK RECORD
In 1979 – the initial development of the very first HMFE (Hydrodynamic Mass Flow Excavation) tooling was a historical milestone, undertaken by the proprietors of the company Stroud & Sills, under the name of CRM, the company has continued to develop and diversify over the years and now operates as Marin.
In the beginning, Stroud & Sills (CRM-Marin) were engaged in the development of a business model directed towards the lucrative shipwreck and artefact recovery market.
The Directors of the company purchased the vessel, MV Fairmorn, and the very first set of tools were developed from the drawing board and set up in the concept development stages, ready to be first tested in anger in a real time arena.
With the further and continued development today of many of our current tools within the business, Marin still ensure innovation is key to the successful business model driven forward by Stroud and Sills, who remain successful business partners today. The continual track record of companies transitioned into the Marin business model in operation today.
